lemonade thoughts [poetry]

frosty like my image of you

half-forgotten

a persisting daydream

lost between reality and fantasy

cold on skin, cold need

while a supple breeze teases tall trees

sugar elaborates itself

dancing over ice and lemon seed

lacy alabaster vivacity

that draws tears where stardust used to be

now fallen away into a pitcher-glass

swallowed by clouds too sweet

of memory
