I’m 19, a published writer, classics student, aspiring polyglot, and utterly, completely, hopelessly lost romantic. I spend most of my time in libraries or bookstores, hunting for musty tomes to paw through, or, if I’m feeling particularly adventurous, losing myself in the night sky or in the solitude of nature. I love good books (especially fantasy ones), hot tea, quiet walks in the snow, and long, intimate, intelligent conversations in tiny cafes. I love romance and cute lacy things. I love cats. And baroque music. And dancing to baroque music. And dancing in general, especially under the stars. I also love dark nights and mysteries. I love the terrors that hide in the darkness and in your dreams. I love leather and metal. I love eccentricity. Anything macabre, ethereal, beautiful, questionable. Just recently, I began using photography and this blog to explore these interests. I love finding and preserving little but precious moments from everyday life. Most often I post images of nature, animals, and books. Occasionally I’ll post pictures of clothes and outfits and, yes, I’ll also post some selfies. (Groan! They’re always classy, I promise.) I am not a professional photographer by any means, but I certainly hope that the images on here are pleasing to the eye and the soul. Some styles of photography that inspire me include grunge, black and white, and vintage photography.
